My husband and I went to the restaurant on Friday last week, and we were booked in at 1800. popped in to see if we could have our meal early, and we did, We ordered pit 3, wings, and loaded Fries . shared all between us . It was amazing. The food was tasty. The atmosphere was good. We will most definitely be coming back
First time here, and we loved it. The food was amazing, all the staff were friendly and accommodating, plus we had a nice table with a view over the bay.
I've been here a few times, once for my birthday with 6 guests and another a smaller group, both times the food has been amazing , seasoned and cooked to perfection, cocktails and drinks fantastic, I recommend the sea salt beer it's brilliant! And the staff are wonderful and very welcoming! The atmosphere is also lovely, it's a fantastic addition to swanage :) On a side note Darren who left the one star review and claims the public toilets are a very long trek away is lying because the public toilets are literally a 2 minute walk along the promenade from smoke on the water lmao
Great view and great food! The restaurant is close to the sea and it's directly in view from most seats. The food is amazing the platters have something for everybody, and even the normal menu items are great. I had the platter with pulled beef, pulled pork, and wings, with sides of salad, mac and cheese, and seasoned chips (fries for non-Brits), and it was all great. My girlfriend had the roast chicken, and it, too, was very good. Also, try the different sauces/dips, they are all great.
Amazing smoked and barbecue meats, delicious sides and friendly staff. The cornbread was a touch salty, but that's my only complaint.
Having visited and eaten here a few times since they opened just over a month ago, I have been impressed with how the service has improved as they have developed as a new team. It can't have been easy opening a brand new restaurant from an empty shell and building a new, young team. The food has been consistently amazing on every visit and I am slowly working my way through the varied and delicious offerings. Keep up the good work Team SOTW, you're great.
Best food I’ve had in Swanage over the 27 years I have been coming here, really really recommend coming and trying it out. Great prices considering the great location on the waterfront. Friendly staff and happy to help with suggestions on the menu. Couldn’t fault the place.
Just had a wonderful meal with the family this evening. From the booking with Sarah to the dessert was simply fabulous. Delicious meal and even better cocktails! To die for Cherry Bakewell! Thank you so much for making our meal so easy. Couldn't recommend enough. Lovely staff and very attentive. Couldn't fault. Look forward to coming back another time.
